Oh no... not the rim!

So in August we sold our Volkswagon Golf and got a new Mazda 5. Much to Vince's delight there were 17" rims on the Mazda. He had been wanting rims for the Golf the whole time we had it but they cost so much money...money that we didn't have.About two weeks ago he went through a drive through and got a tiny little scratch on one of the rims and he was so choked. All I could say was "I'm so happy that you were the first one to do something to those rims"! Well, wouldn't you know on Tuesday me and the kids met some friends downtown for a playdate and we parked in an underground parking lot. The roadway in and out of there was so narrow I honestly don't think that two cars could pass each other and one of them not get totally scraped up on one side. Anyways, on our way down to park, another car was coming and so I pulled over to the side as much as possible and scratched another one of Vince's rims up (half way around the edge) on a curb that all of a sudden appeared there. I did feel pretty bad but at least he had done it first! Mine was a lot worse but he had still done it first. We were right close to his office so he came and met us for some lunch and after we had finished eating he came down to the car with us to help me load up the kids and the stroller, he didn't notice it and I didn't say anything. I knew he had a pretty busy afternoon ahead and wasn't sure how he would react so I didn't say anything. I felt so guilty on the way home and so I called him at work and he didn't answer. I finally told him just before he came home and the first thing he asked was how bad it was I said it was pretty bad and he said "oh, that's ok Meg"...what?! He wasn't mad at all. I think he knew I felt really guilty but still... Right after we talked he hopped on the bus to come home and about 45 minutes later I looked out the window and Vince walks up in front of the house, puts his work bag in the snow, bends down and is looking to see the damage. He comes into the house a few minutes later and says "wow... you weren't kidding that IS really bad... I want you to know that when the day comes that I get MY OWN CAR I am ordering 18" wheels for it... no questions"
Sorry Vince!
